Saturday

This week was rough again, but we ended it with a wonderful appointment with Caleb's psychiatrist and counselor. They decided to see if some ADD meds will help & Caleb and I were both up to that, too. He will continue on the other medication as the doctor didn't want to switch 2 things at once. We will see his counselor again on Monday & then the psychiatrist in 3 weeks. I went to go fill the prescription today & cost me $75 for one month!! Well, that is just not going to fly, so I'll definitely be asking the doctor if we can explore some other options.

More good news - as I am writing this, Waterbury is finishing up installing my brand new AC unit. It is beautiful - who knew that a piece of equipment could be beautiful :). And, it is cooling down my house - finally!! On a side note, the day has been very amusing because since Cena is closed up in my bedroom, the guys got to listen to him howl almost non stop. His howling is hilarious - he winds up just like a siren!!! I was able to finance the unit, so will be paying about $80 per month for the next 4 years. I'm thinking I can pay a lot of it off sooner than that, but will be nice to have the option if I need it.

I believe I posted earlier an update on my healthy eating, but cannot recall. In short, I saw a dietitian and am limiting my carb intake. That is working better than I thought. I still slip up - and a lot more than I should have when things have hit crisis mode with Caleb (why are carbs such a comfort food???). I haven't weighed myself, but I do feel that my clothes are a bit looser.

And, for a cool update on my mad couponing. Today, I bought 1 lysol & 1 air wick automatic air fresheners + 3 cans of edge shaving cream at Walgreens for only $5 - would have loved to have had it be free, but hey, I need to support the economy somehow. Plus, I heard that Kmart may be doubling again the week of 7/5th - let's all pray that SF is included in that! The last doubler, I believe I got $50+ in merchandise for free - it was mad fun!!

Positives for today

1. cool air!!
2. finished the last of my small landscapping project in the front
3. miracle grow - hoping it will help me save some sorry looking clearance plants I picked up at Lewis today :)
