Often, our most valuable item isn't necessarily something that is worth the most amount of money. We all have things in our possession that we may "covet." But, that isn't what this post is about. Instead, I wanted to write about something that I value greatly even though I'm pretty sure it isn't really worth any money.
I really value my yellow pyrex bowl that I bought at my grandparent's auction many years ago. I know that grandma had several of these types of bowls. I also know that the bowl that I have was used often.
I imagine this being the bowl that my grandma used to lovingly mix her incredible brownies for our annual 4th of July party at their house. I also imagine her using this bowl to mix together her yummy pasta salad. Most importantly, I know that my grandma's loving hands touched this bowl many times in her life and for that I will always be grateful! This is one of my most precious possessions.

I have one too, and I LOVE using it, along with a small rectangle baking dish. Knowing she used them at one time always get me thinking of Grandma everytime I pull them out. These were better "gifts" than anything money would actually buy.
