2011 Goals Update

I thought it would be fun to let you know if I have been able to keep any of my goals so far. I’ll never get around to giving you actual regular updates, so don’t get too excited! I heard somewhere that New Year’s resolutions are typically broken by the 4th day of January. Int..er..est..ing…

Here's the original post in case you want to see what explanations I originally gave for each goal.

  1. Daily blog - I've been doing really good with this. I found a good system. When I need a break at work, I just take a couple of minutes to write..whatever is on my mind at the time. It helps me with my work to disappear inside my mind for a bit, and I'm also doing good at my goal!
  2. Monthly book - I did finish a book right over the weekend, but I don't think that counts. I have a couple of books on the shelf that I started and never finished. I need to pick one up!
  3. Organization of Computer Files - not much done on this front.
  4. Daily 15 minute organization drill - see my earlier post about being tired lately. I think I do about 5 minutes, but not sure that counts.
  5. Water - need to improve!
  6. Eat healthier - seems to be doing ok, but I need to step up
  7. Listen more, talk less - I'm actually doing much better on this. I'm finding that I'm spending more time in the moment instead of doing all the talking. Problem is that I have also been drinking a lot of coffee lately & have a bit of a problem staying silent with all that caffeine!
  8. Cut down on the TV - might as well say I will not do good at this one!
  9. Buy more socks - I'm still very annoyed by my sock drawer, but haven't done anything yet to rectify that!
  10. Meal plan more - I have been doing  more of this and have really been happy.
  11. Enjoy life! - I'm trying, seriously I'm trying!
