Happy 1-1-11!

Call me crazy, but I only just realized yesterday that today would be 1-1-11. I know, kinda funny, especially since I'm sure they have talked about this on the news. Anyway, I thought it was kind of cool that the first day of the new year was made up of all 1's. In keeping with the fact that it is the first day of 2011, I decided to come up with 11 goals for myself for the next year. I refuse to call these resolutions. As soon as I say that, I'll be doomed to fail :).

  1. I will try to write one blog everyday. I enjoy blogging, a lot. But, I find that this happens to be the first thing to get set aside when times get tough or busy. No more getting rid of the thing I enjoy the most.
  2. Read at least one book each month. This one is kind of funny coming from me, a member of a family that might just ready have members who read at least one book every couple of days. But, I have lost track of this love and want to get back into the habit of it.
  3. Set up an organization of my computer files. I have never done a good job of setting up some type of a file system that can help me be stay on top of stuff. After visiting with my brother-in-law over the holidays, I realized that it would be so easy to use an external hard drive to protect my files.
  4. Spend 15 minutes each day organizing something. I love to be organized, but get overwhelmed by it. Taking it in small doses might help.
  5. Drink more water!
  6. Eat healthier - more fruits and veggies at each meal.
  7. Listen more, talk less.
  8. Watch less TV!
  9. Buy more socks :)
  10. Meal plan more - this is always good for me, but I go through streaks with this. Meal planning helps with cost of food and us eating healthier. We have been eating out WAY too much lately.
  11. enjoy life!
