Caleb got a 91% on his Algebra II test!!!!! I cannot stress how much of a big deal this is. I don't know that he hasn't gotten this good of a math test grade since 7th grade. He was so proud of himself, as am I. This brought his grade up to a high C, so he might just be able to pass this class after all. Either way, it sure made our long nights fighting over the correct way to solve a problem all the better. So, he is starting a new chapter this week. Please everyone pray that it will be an easy one so he can end the year on a high note.
This week is cold, damp & dreary. I have all of these grandiose plans to get the rest of that rock up & those rose bushes moved, but everything seems to be getting in my way. This weekend is the weather. Although, I finally did get out to buy a wheel barrel so we can move some of that rock into the backyard. This was a typical fiasco purchase for me. Boy, there are sure times that I wish that I had a man in my life & this was one of them. I won't go into all the details, but let me just say that it took 1 trip to Menards & 2 follow up trips to Ace. By the end of the day & way more money than I wanted to spend, I had a functioning wheel barrel! Caleb & I moved 4 full loads of rock into the backyard. At least I accomplished something :).
This week should be pretty quiet. I have another grant due on Thursday, but it is a small one & I have everything done so I can submit it once I get the final approval. I also took Tuesday afternoon off to take back some of my long hours. Will be another chance for me to get that rose garden uprooted :). Then, I have 2 lunch dates planned with some good friends. I even thought about seeing if Kelly wanted to meet for breakfast one morning - I'll give you a call, Kelly. Hopefully the week is as quiet as I want it to be.
Positives for the weekend
- raspberry sherbet
- a functioning wheel barrel
- the new Dianne Mott Davidson book
