Sunday

What a very long weekend. I am happy that I got to spend a little bit of time with my family yesterday, but the rest of the time has been spent finishing up the grant I have due. I finished up the last little bit of it about 8pm tonight. yipee!!

It looked really nice outside today. I have got to try and find some time to finish tearing out all of that rock & those rose bushes in the front yard. I had a goal to get that done this weekend, but that grant took a lot longer than I had planned. It will be nice to finally get that project all done. Anyone who is looking to do some yard work can just come on over & help :).

Caleb had to work today. They have really cut back his hours a lot as he was recuperating from his surgery. In fact, today was the only day he works all week - 3 hours! Poor guy. Thankfully, when he talked to them yesterday, they said they would start scheduling him again in the kitchen so he can get more hours. His last paycheck was $30 for 2 weeks :).

Caleb is winding down the semester. He gets out of school on 5/15th - I think that is the right day - ha ha. He decided not to take any summer classes this year. I think that is a good idea for him - he really needs a break. And, so do I! I always enjoy when he gets out of school because I get to go back to going to bed early. Caleb is the kind of kid that if you don't remind him it is bedtime, he'd probably stay up all night. So, it has been hard going to bed at 10:30 - 11pm. I really need my beauty sleep!

This week should be a bit more manageable at work. I have another grant due on 4/30th, but this one is a short one. It is a grant that we were originally not funded for, but then found out that the agency rec'd some extra money thanks to our cool new prez :). This grant is to add an autism training component for one of our graduate training programs - very neat concept and one that we are all excited for. I should have it all pulled together by the end of the day tomorrow as they are only asking for 5 pages max - budget & all! Then, I have to go to Rapid City for a meeting on Wednesday night. I have to remember to get to the library to get a book on cd - that is such a boring drive!

Positives for today
  1. grant is done!
  2. I finally pulled up that Dane Cook - Christ Chex video on you tube. Thanks, Faith! That really made my night
  3. I just realized I never even got my paper from this morning. I'm going to go grab it so I can read the Zits comic - always reminds me of Caleb!
