Hi everyone. Sorry, have been too busy to get any postings done the past couple of days. Just a quick update that Caleb's surgery went well and we are back home. He is currently sound asleep. Caleb broke his arm 2 years ago and at that time, he had a plate and screws put in. Based on the doctor's recommendation and the fact that Caleb was having some pain with the site still, he had surgery today to remove the plate & screws. The surgery was about 1/2 an hour and the longest time was just in the recovery as he came out of sedation. He had an allergic reaction of some sort to either the antibiotics or the tape that they used with the heart monitor. Just a lot of itching, which they took care of with benedryl. We came home with some strong pain meds that he gets to take over the weekend. If everything goes well, he should be back in school on Monday. The only thing I am worried about right now is a slight fever that he has, but I'll keep a close eye on it to see if it warrants a call to the doctor. I'll post more later today.
