Saturday

Caleb monopolized the computer last night, so only now writing Saturday's post. Saturday went well. Caleb had to work from 8-4, so after I dropped him off I went right into work. I worked until a little after 12pm. I got a lot done on the grant I am working on, but did not get as far as I wanted to. I also brought more work home with me to finish up over the weekend. I have 2 grant deadlines for the end of April, so I'm trying my hardest to get one of them done by the end of March. It is really hard to work on 2 grants at once. The concepts are completely different, so it makes it difficult to provide full attention to an idea when another one is still floating around in your mind. Multitasking isn't an option with grant writing :).

We received great news on Friday that the Birth -3 Program and the funding that comes for our autism program were both put back into the budget by the legislature. We just need to wait for our Governor to approve. Even though it isn't final, we still celebrated - just with caution. Hopefully this help bring up spirits at work, we all really need that!

Caleb finished up his 3rd quarter and pulled most of his grades up to a C. Algebra's grade was what was expected. He has his testing with Sylvan on Monday, so hopefully we can get things going quickly on this. Caleb has surgery on Thursday to remove the plate and screws in his forearm from a skating accident. The surgery sounds to be pretty minor as they won't even put him under. However, he is nervous because he remembers the pain too well from when they put it into his arm.

Positives for Saturday
  1. The sun!
  2. Tam's Buffalo Chicken Dip
  3. Walmart wasn't that busy when I went last night - yipee!

Healthy Living Update: I did not do well on eating healthy yesterday. My food choices were all made out of a need for convenience. I need to restock with some quick & healthy food options. Cena & I did get out for a 15 minute walk and it was wonderful! Even though it has only been a week with my being more active, I can already see that I am able to walk faster and farther in the same time.
