Scary Stuff!

No one is really prepared to be the parent of a teenager. I often hear how people should be required to go to parenting classes before they are given the right to have a child. Little do they know that the parenting of a baby/toddler is SOOO much easier than parenting a teenager. I can already see my mom & dad laughing at this post. While I consider myself a model teenager growing up in the 80’s, I know for a fact that they saw that differently. I wonder if I’ll suffer from post traumatic stress syndrome once my teenager finally moves on. I imagine myself having periodic flash backs where I fall to the floor covering my head screaming, “NOO!!!” Or, maybe I’ll have the opposite reaction and end up spending the following year curled up a fetal position under my covers crying for my mommy. Either way, I just really hope that my son and I both make to the other side of this crazy time in our lives.
