It takes about 3 hours to groom him all the way. I don't do this all at once, though, because that would be crazy. Plus, he gets really antsy after about 1/2 an hour. I typically do his legs and feet first, then his face and ears, then his body and last do the icky parts (no need to explain, right??). After I get his feet and face done, he looks like a sheep. It is actually pretty hilarious.
I would like to invent something that I can put him inside that would do the grooming for me. Think of it like one of those robot vacuum cleaners. I could put him in this machine and just walk away to do other things. The machine would sculpt his fur without me being there. Maybe I would be able to program it to cut his fur to the length that I want. That would be the best part of it! See, when I cut his fur - there is only one length option - naked.
Furry! Notice the Elvis type of curl happening on the top of his head. This is an old picture, but exactly what he looks like right now! He is in desperate need of a good shave right now.
Here, he is modeling the "ready to be shorn" sheep model of puppy fur. Again, an old picture. I know that I'm not going to have time to shave him before Thanksgiving.
Crazy naked puppy! At the time, I couldn't get a good picture of him. He gets kind of crazy when he gets naked. Runs around for days. Must be very freeing to be naked - especially for a puppy who tends to have too much fur!
