Christmas Music

I absolutely love this time of year. It is really exciting for me to start to see all the decorations on houses and in the stores. One of my favorite things is the Christmas music. I feel like my Elvis and Alabama Christmas cds are old friends that I get to visit only once a year. The funny thing is is that I feel the pressure to start listening to my Christmas music fairly early in the season to make sure I can devote appropriate time to each of my favorite "friends". I don't want to leave any of them out, especially since I know I shouldn't listen to them after the holidays are done. So, I start listening to my favorites about this time of year. Well, what usually happens is that I end up a bit sick of Christmas music by the time that Christmas actually rolls around. Yep, it's like birth, I forget about this little fact every year. So, here I am thinking about taking out my old "friends" today and putting them in the car. But, I'm trying to hold off until after Thanksgiving so I don't let them wear out their welcome too early this year. I'm not sure I'll be able to resist Elvis, though...I feel like he is calling me right now...come on, who can resist his crooning Blue Christmas...or what about Santa Bring My Baby Back to Me...oh man, help me be strong!
