Recent Conversation

Caleb was in a talking mood the other night when he came home from work. Not always the case with him, especially since he is a teenage boy! I've learned to take advantage of these moments. We talked about everything from college vs. military to how we would play the game of survivor. I wanted to share one aahhh moment that I believe a mom will only ever get with a son :). Oh - and for my family - don't worry about reasoning behind this conversation - this was just one of those impromptu conversations.

Caleb: Have you ever thought about getting a gun?

Me: Why would I get a gun? I don't know how to shoot one and they scare me.

Caleb: When I move out of the house, I think I'll get you one.

Me: Why?

Caleb: Because making sure you are safe is the most important thing to me in the world. You having a gun when I'm not here would make me feel better.
