Caleb's car was backed into the 1st week he had it. Poor kid - such tough luck! We finally got it into the shop to get it fixed. During the time it was in the shop, I drove a rental and he drove my car. I thought I would really miss driving my SUV around. Interestingly, though, I enjoyed the freedom of a small car.
I drove a 2010 Kia Forte for the week. It had some good power and was very easy drive. For some reason, I felt like I had a lot more options for moving around on the highway in it. Kind of funny - I never had the urge to really jet in & out of traffic before, but I did enjoy doing that in that car :). The car also had a lot of great features, none of which I had time to try out though because I was too sick to figure it out.
We got the call on Friday afternoon that his car was finished. I think he was VERY excited to give me back my car and get behind the wheel of his own. And his car looks amazing. We took it to Marv's Body Shop here in town and they were very easy to work with. Even better - the insurance took care of everything.
I'm happy to have my Escape back, but secretively miss the freedom of that little car. Maybe some of my dad's racing blood did truly rub off on me! ha ha.
