Me: Caleb, I have decided that we need to wait a couple of weeks or so before we continuing looking for a car for you.
Caleb: Ok, but you do know that all the cars I really want will be sold by then, including the Camaro.
Me: I understand that you have concerns about that Caleb, but I wasn’t going to let you get the Camaro anyway. This type of a car is too much for someone your age. It also sends red flags to cops when they see young men driving fast cars like this – you do not need to have that risk right now. So, it doesn’t matter that it will be sold.
Caleb: That’s fine mom, then I’ll just wait until we can get me a Firebird or a Corvette.
