Favorite Movies

We all have those movies that we tend to gravitate toward. You know what I’m talking about – that particular movie that you always stop to watch when you are channel surfing on a boring Saturday afternoon. I have 3 movies that I love so much that I could watch them over, and over, and over, and over again.  
  • Shawshank Redemption
  • The Stand
  • Yours, Mine and Ours (the original)
Sometimes I would also include 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, but I definitely have to be in the mood to watch a musical. There are also some TV shows that I will watch reruns of and not be annoyed: Roseanne, Angel and Gilmore Girls. I wonder what it says about our personalities that we like certain movies enough to watch them many times? I get why the science geeks like to watch Star Wars, but why would a single mom want to watch Shawshank Redemption? Interesting…
What is your favorite movie that you like to watch multiple times? I’m curious to know if others like the odd movies like I do :)!

    Love the movies you mentioned-in fact "Yours, Mine, and Ours" was on the other night. I also stop to watch "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", "Moonstruck", "Parenthood", and "The Searcher". When you put them all together, it does look a little wierd. You can add "MASH" and "Designing Women" to that TV list!

    Father of the Bride 1 & 2, Baby Boom (Mom's fault) and Dirty Dancing. Your list looks far more intellectual than mine. :) What does that say about me?

    Oh, and Parenthood is a good one too! TV shows would be Friends and Cosby Show.
