Work has been a little bit crazy lately. Don't get me wrong, I love my new job and am so happy to have the chance to continue to do work that I enjoy with a company that I truly respect. But, 6 grant proposals in one week! Even for me, that is a little bit crazy. So, here I am on my 2nd night bringing home work. Thankfully I had canceled class for this week already just because I was really in need of a week off. Who knew that I would spend the night putting together budgets, drafting commitment letters and trying to describe a training project that I'm not sure I clearly understand.
The positive side of this entire sob story is that I am so thankful to be working with a team on all of these proposals. And, even though those on the team don't necessarily understand what it means to put together a grant proposal, they all jumped right in to help me in any way that they could. I didn't always experience this at my other job.
All of my proposals are due this Friday, so I'm already looking forward to the weekend. Of course, I would really like it if time would stand still so I had more time, but that goes without saying.
