Caleb and I just got done having a philosophical discussion about pica - an eating disorder where people have the urge to eat everything but food. For a kid who is having such a hard time in school, he can sure come up with some random stuff to talk about. And he doesn't stop with just sharing information. He goes on to debate the person he is talking to with the whole goal of blowing them out of the water with the useless knowledge. Now he is avoiding his homework by describing how to "Rick roll" someone. You will have to ask him what that means sometime. For those of you who lived in the 80's, it has to do with Rick Astley, the singer. Like I said, random bits of information...

I'm getting antsy thinking about our upcoming trip to Denver. Caleb & I are flying out to visit Heather, Trung & LOGAN! Very excited about the trip. Logan is growing up so quickly - last time we saw him at Christmas he was just walking. It is so hard being so far away from them, especially in knowing that we are missing so many important parts of that little guy's life. I think I was very spoiled living so close to Faith. Even though she lived in Des Moines when she was very little, I feel like I had a chance to be with her a lot more. Maybe it is just distorted memory :). I am ready to get out to CO to spoil the heck out of that little guy.

Positives for today:

1. The sun!
2. Caleb let me walk into Best Buy with him tonight - ok, he needed me to pay for something he needed for his Xbox as he hasn't picked up his paycheck yet. But, still...
3. The extremely large pothole on my way to work was filled. Why is that I hit that thing every day even though I knew it was there? My car probably needs to be aligned!
4. Today deserved a #4 - Caleb got an 83 on his Algebra test! Wahoo!!! The long hours with him the past week really paid off.

Healthy Living Update: Good news - I swear that my pants felt bigger on me today. Could have been wishful thinking, but it still felt good. Bad news - I did nothing today, again! Obviously the better fitting pants wasn't motivation enough. Still working on putting in the effort.
