I used to really love traveling, but the older I get the more I just want to stay home. That said, I have found memories of the trips that I have taken. Here are my top 5 favorite places I have ever visited.
1. Denver - I love this city and the state. I probably never would have ever visited if my sister and her family didn't live there. But, I'm so glad that they do. It is my absolutely favorite place to visit!
2. Black Hills - this is a close number 2. Visits to the hills are a significant family tradition for us. We have lots and lots of great memories from our many vacations here. It truly feels like a second home.
3. Washington DC - I wish that I didn't have to fly here to actually visit this place. I really enjoy the historical components of this city. My favorite thing to do is just walk around by myself and marvel at the architecture.
4. Little Rock, Arkansas - I made a quick trip here when I was in college with a friend who was from there originally. This particular place is on my list because I learned a lot about myself here. I had many eye opening experiences about racism and really deep poverty. The countryside was just breathtaking around the mountains - especially at sunrise.
5. Tampa Bay, Florida - a quick 24 hour trip here for work and I didn't get too much time for anything. But, what I did see made me definitely want to go back for another visit with more time to explore. What a gorgeous city!!!
