Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today was my mom's birthday! I hope she had a wonderful day. We were able to go down yesterday to spend the whole day with her, but had to come back early. I missed spending the day with her today. And, while this post is late in the day, I know she knows how much I love her!

Thanks, Mom, for being such a wonderful person to grow up with! I feel very lucky to have had you for a mom. All moms and daughters have their moments, but I think we did a good job of becoming friends as we both have grown older. I always appreciate your being there whenever I need you. I enjoy spending time with you, especially when we get to go shopping together! Most importantly, I love that you are such a great grandma to my son! Thank you for all that you do and I hope you had a special weekend to celebrate your big day. You deserve it!
